NGLC a huge success, Rosie Perez, Latina Magazine & Ana of LBConnects

Finally after weeks of anticipation and wait my NGLC event was here. I got there before 8:00 am and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The Harvard Club gets an A+ from me, from the service to the staff to the place. Today I had a chance to wear all of the hats in my career, Lifestyle Editor for DVD Magazine, Editor of ‘Curvaciously Yours’, Latina Blogger, Curvy Celebrity & Journalist.

David was the first one I met and it was a great moment. We have shared many an email and phone meetings in the last few weeks. He is an Industry leading Latino making history and well this ‘big’ girl was just glad to be there.

I had my laptop taking notes from all the five panel discussions and tweeting with my droid. OMG & networking. I learned something from each panel and honestly I learned the ‘how to’ from professionals leading the Latino market in the most successful clients in the business. I heard from PepsiCo, Univision, Levis, Maybeline, Mun2,NuNotv,MTV,Ford, Sprint,

I was the most impressed by these speakers Mark Lopez of Google, his voice was strong and he had confidence in the Latino market and we can expect great things from him.

Also Galina Espinoza Co-President & Editorial Director of Latina Magazine & Media ventures. I love Latina magazine and I enjoy reading her page every month but hearing her share her passion for the magazine and pride for her culture was moving. Even greater was talking to her and exchanging numbers.

My blogging Latina Mentors

Angelica & Ana

I saw my Latism folks there too and good blogging friends Jorge of Sofrito & the man with the plan Ben of UrbanoTV.

We took a break for lunch and I sat with my boys Ben & Jorge at the round table, we were conversating with the Latina representative for the NBA. This event was a whole day thing and I am still sad its over. I think we need to plan a weekend NGLC event. One day is not enough time. LOL.

The finishing touch was the beautiful Rosie Perez and the broadway King famous latino actor Tony Plano. They shared some great tips and stories on their life and the journey that has brough them to the silver screen. I learned so much today on so many levels. Spoke to Rosie about Venus Magazine and she loved it and was so happy to hear of all my projects. Tony is a charmer and we took some pics together.

Beautiful Rosie Perez

Me with a Cuban hero in my eyes and a talented man, Tony Plano

I ended up another 30 business cards from top-notch media companies, celebrities and Latino legends. Good night, I am off to my bed to have the sweetest dreams.

Curvaciously Yours,
